Students will learn to express themselves and harness their creativity working towards a LAMDA exam. They will be taught life skills such as clear communication, self confidence and team work in an energetic and inspiring class for all abilities. In a group class (16 max) students work individually or in pairs to prepare a program of material to the highest possible standard. Should the individual wish to pursue an exam, they will be entered when they are ready, taking the onus off the end goal, and allowing the students to enjoy the process. On the exam day, candidates perform their pieces and are interviewed on their selections by an examiner at LAMDA, gaining beneficial performance and interview experience. In the later grades, points can be redeemed against the UCAS points system.
Learning Option 2 :
Students work individually or in pairs towards an exam. In class, students will learn key communication skills to entertain and engage their audience. They will learn to share their opinions with confidence, using expression, reasoning, and fluency. Students select a discipline to study, and then work weekly to develop their exam selections, where they will put their new skills into practice. They will receive priceless one-on-one time with the teacher and a tailored individual lesson plan adapted to their individual needs. Lessons run throughout the school day for 20-30 minutes per student/pair.
